Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordinand within Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix had an early aptitude for sports when she was in high school at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She discovered her sprinting ability at the at the time. Only 10 weeks after her initial tryout, she placed third in the 200-meter race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix agreed to sign a contract with Adidas for a professional career with Adidas in 2003. She after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to learn about elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. She broke an Junior World Record running 200 metres in 22.18 second. She became the youngest world champion in the 200 meters in the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 by beating her time-tested Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was a frequent competitor in London, Beijing Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo. She consistently placed in the top three of the events.
