Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is a famous Irish actress and model. Alison Doody made her film debut as the Bond girl in A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she starred in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody portrayed Nazi sympathetic archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Donovan was Charlotte in Taffin in 1988, and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody was asked by a photographer to model and began to perform the role of a model. Then she began her career as a commercial model. Doody did not shy away from glamour or sexually explicit work. This was a policy she extended to her acting profession. She accepted a small part as Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill following the fact that she was spotted by the casting director. Doody was selected as one of the top twelve promising young actors in the year 1986 in John Willis Screen World. 38. Still only 18 at the time she acted in the role Doody was and is one of the smallest Bond girl who has appeared in a film. A Prayer for the Dying, starring Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a different early film in which Doody played IRA Siobhan. Doody was an actress in silent films in the 1987 version of The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. The storyteller's episode Sapsorrow was her first leading role. It aired in 1988 opposite John Hurt, Dawn French as well as Jennifer Saunders. The year 1988 was the first time she starred with Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. The most memorable role to date was as Austrian Nazi sympathiser as well as archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in the 1989 film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. The film also starred Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody was a part of three actors in the role of James Bond. Doody appeared in the 1991 British miniseries Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. It was based on the Hitler Diaries publication scam. After moving to Hollywood, Doody became famous. She took over Cybill Shepherd as the L'Oreal spokesperson's part. Doody returned to acting in 2003 when she played a minuscule role as a character in The Actors, a British comedy film The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at an awards show. The year 2004, she appeared alongside Patrick Swayze alongside a TV adaptation to King Solomon's Mines. Also Doody appeared on Benjamin's Struggle (2005), a pamphlet describing the Holocaust. Doody was as a character in Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. Then, she appeared on RTE's Medical thriller The Clinic. She was supposed to be the star of an adaptation in 2011 of the horror movie The Asphyx. However, that project eventually stalled. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. In 2014 she appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way. In November 2018 she received the Almeria award for best film as well as a star on the Walk of Fame in Almeria.
